This article covers a subject that has been deemed non-canon by either the author or the Back to the Future licensees, and thus should not be taken as a part of the "real" Back to the Future universe.

Timeline 21 was a timeline created when Dr. Emmett Brown arrived from an unknown year to 1986.

Events

1880s

1885
- Wednesday, September 2: Marty McFly arrives in 1885 after hitting 88 miles per hour to rescue Doc.
- Monday, September 7
  - 8:50 a.m.: Marty disappears to 1985.

1950s

1955
- Saturday, November 5: Marty arrives in 1955 after hitting 88 miles per hour.
- Saturday, November 12:
  - 10:04 a.m.: Marty disappears to 1985.

1980s

1986
- Tuesday, April 15
  - Doc arrives in 1986, after reading the letter from Marty in 1986.
  - Marty is captured and mugged by other Marties.
  - Marty is saved by 1985 Marty.
  - An alternate version of Marty saves Doc. 1986 Marty and Doc travel to an unknown time. This creates Timeline 22 , which begins at Doc and Marty's entry point in 1986 and Timeline 21 fades away.

2010s

Wednesday, October 21:
- Marty McFly, Jennifer and Doc arrive from 1985 to stop Marty's future son, Marty Jr., from robbing the Hill Valley Payroll Substation.
- Marty takes Marty Jr.'s place and tells Griff Tannen no. Griff and his goons chase 'Marty Jr.' on hoverboards around Courthouse Square and are arrested.
- 2015 Biff learns that Doc invented a time machine.
- The timeline is changed when Marty saved his father in 1955.
