Now on a serious note
You cannot assume that certain members of the Tannen and McFly families were direct relatives of each other, especially in the case of Mercy Tannen to Ebiffnezer Tannen to Beauregard Tannen, largely because Mercy was in Massachusetts, Ebiffnezer was in London, and Beauregard was in the American South. Also Thaddeus Tannen is not explicitly given as Buford's brother and that cannot be assumed in their articles. Now if there is a mention of any of these connections in the series, I would like to be fully aware of them. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:53, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Terminator fan, you continue to add information that has not been verified or even given. You cannot make assumptions that the members of the Tannen family are directly related. For all we know they are separated by different branches of Tannens. I will be forced to revert and undo these actions unless direct proof in the episodes is given, saying that so and so is this person's grandfather or brother, etc. -- Riffsyphon1024 16:34, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Back to the Future timeline
I know that in the traditional definition of a "timeline" as a chronology, the adding of elements from the animated series might qualify as part of a chronology. Regardless of whether the added information is considered canon (i.e., the film trilogy) or non-canon, however, note that this article is about the alternate timelines that are seen as Marty goes back in time and inadvertently alters the the outcome of a pivotal event in local history. Even if one assumes that Bifficus or Ziff are a part of the history of Timeline 8, neither of these animated-series events occurred as the result of an alteration of history; nor does Marty's visit to ancient Rome have any effect on his present. I'd encourage you to, instead, create an article entitled "Chronology of Back to the Future" which would include the animated series, the story line in the ride, and be a master list of all events from prehistoric times to end of the 21st century. New articles are certainly welcome (Riff and Western have been tolerant of me). Anyway, if your additions to this particular article (which is ultimately about alteration of history) are removed for the reasons stated, please do not take offense. Thank you.
